Friends from CAL got married in the afternoon in Berkeley.

5/27/11. Ms. Wang and the Old Stomping Grounds
Ms. Wang, my cousin Rose, who's a high school math teacher in Stockton, took her class to visit Stanford today! We are in front of the Gates of Hell, by Rodin (hence, the non-smiley faces).
After stopping by Berk to get my car's oil changed and visit my dad, I went home and went on a hike with my mom at a park I used to play at. Hidden Lakes!
I'm still pissed that they replaced my favorite sand pit and huge rusty slide with a modern looking playground, but the views here are still the same as they used to be. Sighhhhh.... :)

...This piece of crap. 1.6 Ghz, 504 MB of RAM, 60 GB hard drive. 9 years old! Muahahaha. I'm actually surprised it still works, but it got me through most of high school and undergrad!
5/24/2011. Laptop screen died.
Took it to get fixed at a local shop (I get it back in a week. waaaaaaa!), and then ate at this place I've been meaning to take you all to. Phil's Treasure Pot. Cash only, the above costed about 15 bucks and each order is good for two meals. Soooo goood. Reminds me of Berkeley.
Was working on some finite element analysis with a friend, and then my other friend showed up wearing exactly the same thing. Funny times!

5/7/11. Happy birthday Casey!
We celebrated Casey's birthday at the Stinking Rose in SF. I love garlic, so the food here was pretty good to me. Actually, the bread was a homerun and I filled up on that before I even got to my pasta dish. On the way out, these fine ladies were laughing because a man eating dinner with his wife looked really angry. Anyone say sorority pose picture with random angry man? Anyway, as we were taking the pictures, the man totally started to smile and pulled out his own camera to take a picture of US. It's times like these when I realize that there are really fun people in the Bay. Enjoy the rest of your weekends everyone!
P.S. I found out I've been missing out on Woody Allen movies.

Let me explain. I'm supposed to get full body exposure to the UV rays, but I have to keep the jewels covered. The Dr. said I was supposed to get a G-String or a thong, which I don't want to buy. Hence, the sock.
Anyway, it's become a point of laughter for us and I'm pretty sure I may become one of their dinner table stories.

5/4/11. So many picture moments already!
They cleaned up the fridge! I might actually store food in it now.
There were chicks outside my lab building this morning! Trying to hop a curb to get to their mama. Every time I got close they'd squeal in fear, so I got a wooden plank to use as a ramp so they could get up to the mama duck. Good deed of the day, check.
5/2/11. Zap Me
I started the UV treatment today to clear up those spots. It took 2 months to get past all the bureaucracy/paperwork, but at least I'm getting treated now. The device looks like something out of a comic book. Maybe I'll get super powers.
